My Chaser vids

Would be nice if i could ask u a few more questions
how u made ur vids and what kind of progs u used to edit etc.
now im going to make my own vid for over a half year
i already thought about A LOT of things and i know how it has to look like
but couldnt start cuz i cant record very well ... thats my biggest prob ;(

first of all, you can buy a reasonable TV Card for like 50 €
Its a card as the name says, like a graphic card, u just have to insert it in your computer, and the instalation is pretty easy. after that, there are two good and easy recording programs. IUVCR and Virtual VCR. after configuring these progs, wich aint hard at all, you have to choose with resources u will use to record everything. this is when the codecs come in. some codecs consume RAM to record and the quality is better and the used disk space is small.
other codecs do not use RAM at all but the disk space used is very big. to give you an idea, a codec wich uses a small portion of RAM to record ( its the one i use ), consumes like 2 to 10 GB's to record one/two hours. the others who do not use RAM, result in a 100 GB video file. although it doesnt seems like, all of this is very easy to use.

after recording, the program i use to edit all the stuff is SONY VEGAS 8.0.
Ofcourse, my knowledge with this program and with every other editing program is very small. My ideas are never accomplished cuz im a noob at video editing.
Sony Vegas is easy to use. But there are other programs that u can use for your videos. To make intros for example. Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Boris FX, Pixelan, etc..

cuz i thought about recording with fraps on another
extern hard drive but it would be a bit complicated
so afterall i will have to think about that a bit more ... anyway thanks
and yeah sony vegas is quiet cool ... ive seen a lot what ur able to do with that prog
and i already have it but maybe ill use a better one
im a big lucker because my older brother is a specialist cameraman
he knows sooo damn much about editing and stuff like that
he got a professionel programm for mac .. called "final cut" it is a prog
that u could compare with editing progs for hollywood
i hope he will help me out when im ready for that
but first at all i need to find a way how to record
so i try to find out a bit more also about using a TV card

i wish i was a pro in video editing..

Milton I am trying to record some footage with uiVCR but like i told you once before, I am having troubles with the size of the footage - quality is nice and all but size (I mean with size not how large the file is but the dimensions you see in windows media player) of the vid doesnt match the settings i used. I cant get the same results of the size like when i am using Fraps or the size of your vids even with completely different settings.

Would be cool if you could just add 2 screenshots ... one with settings of "Capture Format" and "Compression" in iuVCR like Colorformat/compression, frame size etc etc you use while recording - or just a few screenshots of all the important options you change for recording purpose in iuVCR and another screenshot with the video settings in Chaser you used for your vids.

I actually wanted to ask you that all on msn but first i thought you dont use msn anymore because I have never seen you on for months (or years dont know lol) but then DASA told me a few weeks ago "Milton is on right now" but I couldnt see you, so whats the reason for blocking me?

I am not sure if i mean the resolution of the video its a little bit hard to describe but whats really strange is the
fact that the footage i recorded with fraps has same resolution/dimensions/measurements/width&height or whatever you wanna a call it as the vids of you, Milton and all the others unlike the vids i recorded via my tv-card and iuVCR.

To make things easier i just uploaded 2 short clips one Fraps- and one iuVCR-testclip.

anyways your problem seems to be about your video card. maybe its too cheap, and doesnt support high resolutions.

Could be one possible problem because my tv-card is almost 6 years old like my pc. But before wasting money for a new one i want to make sure that the problems isnt caused by wrong settings. Therefore the easiest way would be to apply the same settings(in iuVCR and Chaser) you used and check then if the problem still exists.

Dude you know me for almost 3 years now right? my e-mail ends with ".de" and de stands for GERMANY plus recently when EURO 2008 took place i dont remember by the things i wrote in kMa shoutbox that i supported the Austrian team. Then the things i told you here about myself like the Chaser players i personally know and stuff like that. How could it be possible that TyrOOn is my neighbour and lives in Germany while i live in Austria. I think almost everyone here in Chaser i know and who knows me a little bit knows that. Maybe i told you once that I am from Bavaria but Bavaria is in GERMANY and not in Austria although the slang we are talking here in southern Bavaria is more similar to the one they talk in Austria than to any other slang in Germany but thats anohter story. Still confused ?

Nemy I guess you didnt read my whole post because i dont need/want more views.
These short clips i posted are just test clips for making my problem more demonstrative. I didnt know how i could explain my problem in a better way with words therefore the vids.
After you have watched them you will notice the difference in size/resolution of these 2 and thats my xxxx problem.

btw there exist already a chaser vid created by me on youtube and you commented it so you should know it better.
