yeah karam, you're right, but most people said they didnt want the tournament to last to November, so i made it 4 matches per weekend, if everything goes as planned then it should be finished half way through october, which is still good.

I will probably make a winter tournament aswell. For the fun, to keep chaser alive.

Speaking of keeping things alive, i need to recruit more players for USSF, running low on players lol.

wont be too hard, we have our own root server, a decent website, well known and many ask for tryouts lol

i'm copying karam here :) i'm writing a book :D -- <3 karam

maybe after this tournament u could try to make something different, maybe a TDM or a CTF tournament would be interesting, because everyone knows FS, everyone knows what tactics usually work and what tactics doesn't, a different mode and a well chosen map would require even more team work and tactics in each team and not just skill

it could work well or not ..

Dasa thats a very good idea, but less people would join because it is not demo, we should use different maps, but for demo, since i am a mapper i think i have an idea of what sort of maps would be good for this tournament.

nice idea

Im honestly one of those guys who love chaser for what it is
and i do not love it just for its map "final strike"
cuz there are actually soo much other really nice maps
just like hypersonic raid or arctic siege which i really love
and used to play with some friends

But the fact is that we are (and i include almost every single chaser player)
unaccustomed to playing diffrent maps, diffrent game modes
it just seems as if most players never ever tried to get to know other maps
i mean.. we all do know final strike inside out
and its and amazing map but from time to time its getting quite boring

I think starting to play diffrent maps and game modes would be so damn awesome
and really interseting cuz its like taking a diffrent look at chaser
and thats totally enjoyable

But if you would be really going to make a tournament
with a totally diffrent game mode and a fitting map (which im also totally recommending)
then u have to know that it will also be something totally diffrent
for chasers player..

Cuz in my point of view
almost every single player in chaser doesnt know how to play in a team,
doesnt know how to play with tactic .. real tactic,
tactic in a team .. tactic that includes bd,
keys and every single way that is given to win
actually also nades
.. but in chaser when it comes to that point when
we have to accept our defeat, our loss
yeah then we all stop thinking about tactic and teamplay
and start calling the other ones gameplay noobish and unfair

Its just about that
and thats what makes chaser a game that can be played and only played
by one single person.. not by a team
cuz weve made a totally egoistic gameplay out of it and we thaught us to not use
things like bd, keys, nades and at least even teammates..
the things that actually make the real diffrence between players
and in a whole game in my opinion
..its our own fault

And so it is our job to work on it if we do want to start something new,
if we want to keep chaser alive
like i already said.. i can just recommend making such a tournament
but im sure that it wont work if we wont "teach" chasers player
how to handle other game modes .. other maps

I hope u got it right what i meant to say ;)

However .. in the end of my "post" i have to mention just a few last words:

Keep Chaser Alive ! <3 BTW: Sorry for this entire "book" ;D

You are exactly right, I couldn't have said anything better. Final strike is very boring and in this Winter Tournament with new maps, the website will oblige all the players to download them with instructions so there's nothing wrong with the technical point of view with this idea. Since chaser players aren't used to playing on new maps, it will give the average chaser players a chance to beat the best. Obviously the creators and those who inspect the battlefield and who train on it will have a huge advantage.

karam, do u have AIM or MSN ? i'd like to talk to you about this .. and for the website i'm helping */A with

thanks ;)

i am glad you guys enjoyed the idea, i am trying to suggest this since suggy started organizing the kma tournaments but my posts were always ignored =(

like u guys know, i played on both finals of kma tournaments and on each final, my team was discussing tactics all the time, especially on the first tournament when my team was Milton and Downrise, we were playing with TS and we were always discussing about who should go k1, who should camp at some random point, who should go hall, when one should rush, when one should hold back and goddamn it, the feeling of playing like that its simply fantastic, the feeling of cheering and giving indications to your team mates all the time its the best fun u can have

now can u imagine how that would be in a CTF tournament ? maybe a 5v5 or even a 3v3, the players discussing about who should get the enemy flag and who should protect and keep an eye on each place or maybe a TDM, the players asking for backup and rushing the map all together or maybe even organizing ambushes against the enemy team or camping in strategic points, damn it would be fu©king great, every time i think about how it would be it reminds me the first times i played Chaser Shock Troops =)

yeah man you're right, it's great when you and your team play organized and in my point of view TS is the best way to do it.
i agree with you
