Luke and me made a patch for the Chaser fullversion which includes some nice modifications.

The features:

* The flash grenades got disabled just as well as the OICW and the GDL

* The hand grenades were limited to an inventory amount of One

* In addidion to it you can find in this package a fixed exe which serves the same purpose as
the No Exit QuitPatch

But more important is the fact that you have to use this patch if you want to play in the future on the DD servers.
The patch is already done and available for downloading however it isnt uploaded on the DD servers yet.
We will equip the servers with this patch within this week so people have enough time to attune to this change.

If you try to join the DD servers and you get an error message like "Initialization error" then
you know the patch was uploaded to the servers and its time to put this patch into your Addons folder.
If you wanna play on another server just cut it out of the Addons folder and paste it into another one -
its a matter of 3 seconds.

We did this patch for several reasons.
Like preventing people from starting nade parties which leads to server laggs.
And i have enough from cheaters gaying around with GDL and bullethack.

I could also think of using a kind of patch for any future tournaments not absolute with the above features,
but for example everyone knows that LB guys have the camping
and time advantage and it really sucks
if you have to play against ppl that permanently camp with ak at k1 or with shotty in k1.
So to make this deficit for the GF guys good we could simply set on the LB side the prize
for the ak to a higher one.
It would be harder for the LB guys to get ak and the whole ST mode in Final Strike would be more balanced

Why don't you guys make that patch like the americans did theirs ? As far as I know, people don't need to download anything to play in their modded server. You're going to kill the game. Just think about it. The amount of Chaser players is really reduced. The noobs who wouldnt be smart enough to download the patch, are gonna leave. I think the patch itself, is pretty cool. Well done. But this is my opinion.

About the AK price, you don't have to balance anything. Defense and attack sides are just like that. The LB are defending the keys, hence they have the advantage of the k1 camp. The problem is that people do not use the tactical side of the game, as much as other gamers do in other games.

Ok after reading through all your c'n'c i can reassure you that Chaser will not be killed just because of that patch.
There are, apart from the DD servers, 3 other gameservers online on which guys who dont want to use that patch or dont know how to use it can play on.

Also we will most likely make some further announcements about this patch on some other message boards.
Milton you are probably speaking about this USMC mod server in demo.

DASA its exactly the same patch like we have on our nWo servers in the Demo, no differences at all but the problem is
that Fullversion requires all players to have the same gamefiles in contrary to the demo. So if the host has for instance
changed the prices for weapons or just any other changes in the files so the clients have to use the same changed files
to be able to play on this server. You can be sure if I would be that smart to know a way to make it work like in demo
then i would prefer this way over the method we are using for fullversion. But imo there is no other possible way to do
this for the Fullversion.

We will probably test this patch for some time to see the reactions, opinions of the players and stuff like that and we will then take further action.

Yep Karam I have read those posts you provided me with and you all brought up some meaningful arguments in both
threads in this one and the one you advised me to read.
I agree with all the mentioned points like trying to play new maps/modes in any future tournies and this improved kind of
gaming with tactics, teamplay via TS etc etc etc that would be really nice ideas.

However I am still convinced that it would be no bad idea to do some other changes, I mean just for example CS/CSS
and many other games there are published weekly or monthly updates to improve the gameplay but in Chaser its all up
to the players there wasnt any updates for years and the developers simply didnt have 3 - 5 years of gaming
experience like some our players have so its no wonder that the gameplay/ balance isnt perfect.
I am not saying that we absolutely need to change anything concerning the balance but I am open for some interesting ideas.
